When to choose a large rug?

In which case do you need a 2x3m Berber rug?

Berber rugs measuring 2x3m are the perfect size for medium to spacious living rooms with a sofa at least 250cm long or a 3m long corner sofa. It is recommended to tuck the rug at least 10cm under the sofa for a more aesthetically pleasing look. In a medium-sized apartment living room, a 2x3m rug will help define a nice seating area and visually enlarge the room. In a very spacious living room, it will help better delineate the living area. With a corner sofa, the advantage of a rug of this size is that you can more easily adjust the amount of rug you place under your sofa depending on the room's dimensions.


Depending on the patterns and colors chosen for your interior, as well as for your rug, it can blend seamlessly into the decor, highlight the rest of your furniture, or create a contrast and a completely different atmosphere in your living room. Depending on the effect you choose, the rug will visually enlarge or shrink your space.


A 2x3m rug is also a good size option under a dining table that seats six. A large rug in a dining area creates an elegant, structured, and comfortable space. The rule is that the chair legs should all be positioned on the rug when no one is seated at the table. But it's perfectly fine if the legs extend beyond the rug when you're seated.
